SBI! for WP Review Action Guide Day 5 – Hosting, Domain Registration, and Installing WordPress

SBI for WP Review Action Guide Day 5 – Hosting, Domain Registration, and Installing WordPressThis is another “day” of the Action Guide that I fudged. Before I got to this part of the process, I already decided on my niche, my voice (or spin), and had a good idea of how I would monetize.

I had my domain, hosting, and had installed WordPress before now.

So yeah, I cheated a little and took a HUGE chance. I could have put in all this work for nothing. (But I lucked out and will elaborate on this in another update!)

If you’re catching up on this review, here’s where you can check out past updates:

Name That Site!

This is the fun part. Here, you get to decide on your domain name and grab your hosting.

I grab my domains from GoDaddy. I’m not an affiliate with them, but you can do a search for “godaddy coupon” and their current $0.99 offer should pop up at the top of the results. You get your domain for a buck for the first year and around $12 a year after.

For hosting, I recommend SiteGround, which is super cheap for the first year and very affordable after that. PLUS, their customer service is top notch. I use their chat all the time and they go above and beyond to help. Worth every penny.

Install WordPress and the SBI! for WP Plugin

This part of the online Action Guide walks you through setting up WordPress and the SBI! for WP plugin.

It’s a decent tutorial.

And if you go with SiteGround for your hosting, they will also walk you through the process – even “holding your hand” if you need it!

And installing the SBI! for WP plugin is super easy.

Now you’re ready to move on to Day 6! Let’s do it!
